"One way to go."
He said real slow
And pointed clear on through the snow
Past the libraries ablaze
Through the smog, the smoke the haze
Up the mountains, oh so high
Destroying lives and feeding flies
And so I sat to make my mind
As he sighed a heavy sigh
"One way to go"
He said real slow
But that's when I spoke "no."
He stopped he stared he smelt the air
And slowly he asked "Where?"
I'd shovel the snow
Extinguish the blaze
I'd clear the smoke the smog the haze
I'd make a path upon the mountain
Walk the road and build a fountain
In that time I hope that I
Have fought the pain and shooed the flied
Retied any broken ties
And hopefully have saved some lives
Again he let
He let a sigh
And that is when he asked "why?"
"Why?" I said
And bowed my head
Cause snow just slows our lives
And books are good as time goes by
Good to remember before you die
And to the smog the smoke the haze
All who've stayed have lost their days
They all think they know what's best
But they just smoke and lost their rest
I will teach them all of their corruption
And hope I'll pose an interruption
They'll help me build the road so high
Raise the fountain, shoo the flies
And even help me save some lives

He scouped up some snow
"For I have chosen you
To right the wrongs and fight the fights
You know what you must do"
With one blow the snow was gone
But I won't let it stay
